Hauser & Wirth Wooster Street
Hauser & Wirth’s expansion to Soho represents a return to the site and scale of an earlier era of the NYC art world. The interior and exterior of the building were stripped back and an environmentally-sensitive gallery built in the existing shell with new skylights and the reveal of the original brick and painted facade signage.
Behind the ‘single-room’ gallery space lies a private viewing, office, kitchenette, bathroom, and art and book storage woven comfortably together with a rich color and material palette.
